C/O brings together alumni and upcoming residents of the Ramona Residency, an artist-mother–centered nonprofit founded in Houston in 2024 and the first dedicated artist mother residency in Texas. The residency provides artists withtime, space, financial support, and access to a network of curators, collectors, fellow artists, and the local community to strengthen and diversify their artistic practices.
The exhibition reflects the belief that artistic practice and caregiving are not opposing forces, but interwoven realities that shape how work is made and sustained. Spanning media and career stages, the artists’ practices are united by attentiveness, adaptability, and resilience.
Rather than framing motherhood as a limitation, C/O affirms it as a site of knowledge and creative possibility, expanding conversations around authorship, labor, and visibility in contemporary art.
Art @ CityCentre is a rotating art program featuring fresh and engaging exhibitions of works from Texas-based artists and galleries. This ongoing program serves visitors and tenants of CityCentre lobby spaces in office buildings across the campus.
On exhibit until September 2026, the lobbies at CityCentre are open to the public M-F, 8 AM – 6 PM
